Excellent Customer Survey Results for iPOCT

The results of the recent ‘User Survey’ were excellent for the Point of Care Team based in Skipton, UK.

The survey had an 81% response rate.The results have been converted into graphical format and are displayed with horizontal bars in three classes;
 Green –”Completely agree”
 Yellow –”Partly agree”
 Red –”Completely disagree”

The number of respondents of that question (n=) and the answering mean (mean) are shown. A high mean demonstrates that there is agreement with the statement and think that it is working well. The highest mean score possible is 6.0

• 33%  wanted to utilise INR & now its available
• 25% are keen to use a combined Urea, electrolytes and Creatinine cartridge, and this is in progress
• 25% wanted to have FBC available as a POCT test and this is available
• 25% were keen to see LFT as a POCT test
• 8% would be interested in Thyroid testing on a  POCT basis but unfortunately this test is not possible on a POCT basis at present.

Overall, iPOCT performance was rated  very good, but as always there is room for improvement and to this extent we have identified some improvement actions for the coming year;

• Share information on process improvement from experience in Sweden
• Include information on what to do if an IQC test falls outside the acceptable range, as a key learning point in Training
• Implement monitoring of analysers & IT connections to give % uptime
• Review test range available and feedback to sites
• Gather comparability data (POCT on site vs. local lab results)
• Implement enquiry handling tool and audit response rates
• Implement pre & post training evaluation
