Launch of Roche cobas 4800 system

I.H.S is working in association with Roche and the new state-of-the-art, fully automated Cobas 4800 system to deliver:

·         Quicker turnaround times

·         Unambiguous results – reducing the need to retest

·         Larger throughout of samples

This system will provide even faster TATs, a broader range of test

options and enhanced HPV results at no extra cost.

The fully automated sample preparation is combined with real

time PCR technology for amplification and detection

of HPV and other tests.

Test combinations available are:

·         “Gold standard” triple combination test from one

Vial: Thin prep pap, high risk HPV (including 16&18 subtyping at no extra charge), Chlamydia

·         ThinPrep pap, high risk HPV (16&18)

·         ThinPrep HPV full subtyping

·         ThinPrep HPV high risk (16&18)

·         ThinPrep Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea

·         Endocervical swabs (women)

·         Urines (men and women)
